Los Altos CA senior Owen MacKenzie placed third in the Division 1 boys final at the CIF Central Coast Section Championships at Toro Park in Salinas, Calif. MacKenzie, who hadn't competed at the Toro Park course since Sept. 15 and raced sparingly in the past two months with injuries, clocked 15:42.8 on the 3-mile course to help Los Altos place second overall with 60 points.
